The Lebenshilfe Region Mannheim-Schwetzingen-Hockenheim e.V. is a non-profit and mitigating self-help association that is unbounded by confessional and political forces. We primarily support people with mental impairment. Included offers and equal opportunities for participation are a big concern for us. We are regionally active and have a wide range of housing services, open aid services, diverse consulting services and including daycare facilities. Open help organize and accompany leisure activities for people with so-called mental impairment of all ages. These include travel, holiday care, leisure meetings and individual assistance. In addition, the Open Aids offer nursing advice according to § 37.3 SGB XI. The planning and implementation of the varied offer is organised by a team consisting of specialists, such as social education:women, nurses:women and nurses. The executive team is mainly volunteers whose use is coordinated and accompanied – both in ongoing communication and on-site measures. In addition to general organisational and administrative activities, the task also includes the advice of members, e.g. financing options by the SGB XI, the support and training of volunteers and partly also by direct implementation of the offers themselves.
