As Head of Design Engineering Melting & Utilities, you take responsibility for Mechanical Engineering and Precious Metal Engineering with approx. 20 employees and keep them strategic and operational. Together with your two teams, you will ensure the constructive implementation of the technical development of our melting plants, utilities and special production equipment for hot forming and post-processing and drive global engineering standards and innovations at our international production sites. Your duties Leadership and development of design engineering teams Mechanical Engineering and Precious Metal Engineering with around 20 employees Responsibility for the design and implementation of further developments and optimizations in melting plants, utilities and special production machinery Working with the development of global engineering standards, design guidelines and technical best practices Support for business segments in the development and implementation of long-term engineering roadmaps in line with the technology, production and investment strategy Promoting innovation, efficiency and sustainability through the harmonisation of construction systems and the establishment of a consistent product data and lifecycle management Your profile Successfully completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering, process engineering, production technology or a comparable field Multiannual design and leadership experience in engineering, plant engineering, special machine construction or a comparable industrial environment Found experience in plant or special machine construction and the development of complex thermal, mechanical or process engineering systems Embossed strategic and entrepreneurial thinking combined with implementation strength and competent leadership quality Very good German and negotiated English knowledge and experience in international cooperation Your Benefit As open as SCHOTT is for your further development, our offer of additional benefits is as extensive.
