Lead Payroll Specialist (m/f/d)

As a Lead Payroll Specialist (m/w/d), you are the central professional entity for the payroll at the Langen site. Your focus is on the independent implementation of complex wage and salary bills as well as the professional management and support of the Payroll team. The disciplinary leadership takes place in close coordination with the management of customer service and is clearly defined by your professional role. You support a team of currently 10 Payroll Specialists – from professional starters to experienced colleagues – as a professional contact person, mentor and savings partner. In doing so, you ensure compliance with legal requirements, drive the further development of processes and ensure consistently high billing quality. In addition to your professional leadership role, you yourself enter a selected customer circle and carry out their pay bills independently. In challenging situations as well as in escalations, you can use your expertise in a targeted manner and support both team and customers in a solution-oriented manner.

Special responsibility: Own implementation of complex wage and salary bills for selected customers Professional control and quality assurance of payroll processes at the site Contact person (m/w/d) for complex accounting, tax and social insurance issues Support of the team in special cases, exams and escalations Analysis and continuous optimization of billing and service processes Ensuring a uniform level of quality Professional leadership & cooperation: Professional guidance, coaching and knowledge transfer within the Payroll team Support for the professional introduction of new employees Cross-site exchange with other Senior Payroll Specialists to promote knowledge transfer Close cooperation with Customer Service as a specialist Sparring partner Discipline leadership: Participation in employee talks, feedback and development talks in coordination with the customer service Special assistance in personnel decisions, without solely disciplinary overall responsibility

You understand as a lead expert (m/w/d) in the billing of charges that takes responsibility for quality, knowledge and processes. Guided tour means technical support, orientation and further development – not primarily personnel administration. Ideally you have: Multiannual well-founded experience in payroll accounting Very good knowledge of tax and social security law Very good user knowledge of a billing system, ideally PROVIA Experience in a leading role (e.g. senior, expert, mentor) Embossed communication and consulting expertise to team and customers Structured, solution-oriented and quality-conscious operation
