Senior Consultant (m/w/d) at the Chair of International Comparative and Intercultural Education Research at the Institute of Education of the Faculty of Human Sciences (Deferred to the 14 TVöD Group) from 01.11.2025 or later first sought for a period of 3 years with possibility of extension in full time. It is a qualification body with possibility for doctoral or habilitation. The Professorship for International Comparative and Intercultural Education Research is one of the eight professorships at the Institute of Education, which is located next to the Institute of Psychology and the Institute of Sport Science at the Faculty of Human Sciences. The research focus of the Chair of International Comparative and Intercultural Education Research is on international educational transfer processes as well as migration and their consequences for education and training. Other focus areas of the chair are: Theory of Cultural Transmissions in the case of socio-cultural multi- and minority groups, scientific-theoretical analysis of historical and intercultural educational research and international reform pedagogy. You are actively working on your own research project with the aim of doctoral studies or habilitation. They take part in the research projects of the professorship. They are engaged in university teaching in the field of “International Comparative and Intercultural Educational Research”. They serve courses of professorship, student seminars and graduates. You take over administrative activities at the professorship.

an above-average degree in higher education (Master/Diplom) in educational sciences or in other disciplines with distinct points of attachment to international comparative and/or intercultural educational research, e.g. sociology or psychology very good knowledge of German in word and writing as well as knowledge of English at the level of at least B2 of the Common European Framework for Languages in the case of a desired habilitation: PhD in Education, Sociology or Psychology at least with the predicate “magna cum laude” Further desirable skills: mastery of one or more of the migrant languages represented in Europe Experience in the design and implementation of data surveys using surveys or field experiments What do we expect? great interest in research and scientific work Ability and desire to deal deeply with scientific questions and scientific literature Reliability, ready-to-use, independent and team capacity Equality and diversity competence Entering for the freedom of democratic basic order within the meaning of the Basic Law
