Inspector for electrical systems

Heat and energy are our contribution to the quality of life – every day new. As BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH we supply the capital with electricity and heat in a climate-friendly manner. Our district heating network is the largest Western Europe with a length of more than 2,000 kilometres. We supply about one third of the Berlin households with heat. With the know-how of our 2,200 employees, we cover the entire value chain of district heating – from production to grid operation and expansion to distribution. At high pressure, we work at the coal exit until 2030 and at climate-neutral production from 2045. In this way, we support the Land of Berlin significantly when reaching its climate targets. On the way to this we want to realize a higher proportion of renewable energies and waste heat. To do this, we need to redesign many of our sites and facilities. For this challenge and the associated tasks, we need people who are fully committed to our common goal of a local heat transition – people like you. For the BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH we are looking for you as soon as possible Tester:in electrical systems in permanent employment at the Berlin site. You take care of the fact that the production park in Berlin is maximally operational.

You are (in the team) responsible for testing stationary electrical systems and equipment in our supply positions (e.g. switching systems 0.4 kV – 0.7 kV) and for documentation of the results. You will check the work equipment according to requirements to ensure the safe operation of the equipment. You independently conduct trouble analysis and develop solutions to prevent interference. You recognize quality problems, guide measures to improve our standards. You are a contact person: for partner companies that perform services in this field for us. You will be able to develop yourself to the tester:in (enabled person) for self-contained and mains switching systems greater than 1 kV, such as 10 kV, 30 kV or 110 kV.

You have a completed electrotechnical training. You have first professional experience. You have well-founded knowledge of the applicable UVVs, relevant regulations/regulations and regulations. An additional training on the topics of VDE 0701, VDE0702, DGUV V3, TRBS 1201/1203 or training in the correct use of test equipment at BG or the like is desirable. You can communicate well and you can also enforce yourself if necessary. You work independently and support your team in the right place. You always keep your goals in mind, like to learn about it every day and are ready to continuously develop professionally. You have knowledge of the application of MS Office products and ideally experience with SAP PM. You have a rating class B. German knowledge on at least level C1 is absolutely necessary.
