As an IT System Manager - Focus on Linux and Network (m/w/d) you are looking for Linux admin (70 %) with a task distribution focusing on the operation, maintenance and development of our Linux infrastructure and network admin (30 %) to control the external service provider and implement simple firewall/network requirements

Linux admin (70%) You take the administration of services and users via the command line on Debian/Ubuntu and RHEL/Rocky Linux You secure SSH access, debugging problems and fix them (SSH debugging) You manage file systems (LVM2) and operate them You operate Apache, MariaDB, Tomcat, Postfix, Bind, OpenSSH; Configure Management with Puppet; supports developers with Docker, GitLab and Git Network admin (30%)You consolidate firewall rules in the Palo Alto firewall together with network service providers and configure rules You take control of the external network service provider You have well-founded knowledge in IP/Routing/VPN/NAT/Load Balancing/Mail/SSH/DNS and perform protocol analyses You perform an error analysis of networks with tcpdump/Wireshark; manage switches in cooperation with our service provider; You'll start and provide technical documentation

You have an apprenticeship as a specialist (m/w/d) or a degree in computer science. You have a well-founded Linux experience (Debian/Ubuntu, RHEL/Rocky) and ideally bring an LPIC or comparable certification. You have practice in SSH management, file systems (LVM2) and common services (Apache, MariaDB, Tomcat, Postfix, Bind, OpenSSH). You know yourself with doll or similar CM tools; Docker, GitLab and Git dominate you from a developer perspective. You have basic knowledge of security practices and methods for curing Linux systems. You work routined with developers and external service providers. You have network knowledge including IP/Routing/VPN/NAT/Load Balancing/Mail/SSH/DNS and experience with network analysis.

Your work place is hybrid - a presence in our Ratinger location (at Düsseldorf) is required at 2-3 days. Our weekly working hours are 37.5 hours.
