Senior IT System Engineer (m/f/d)

You will ensure the stable, secure and highly available operation of our IT infrastructure as well as the central platform, network, server, storage and base services. As a technical contact person (m/w/d), you are responsible for the entire lifecycle of business-critical infrastructure components from conception to implementation to operation and continuous optimization. Together with the team, you develop modern infrastructure, platform and architecture standards and ensure their alignment with company-wide technology, security and architecture requirements. You plan, guide and accompany challenging infrastructure, transformation and migration projects and take on the overall technical responsibility for the successful implementation. Technical concepts, solution designs and target architectures are developed and evaluated taking into account scalability, performance, availability, cost-effectiveness and sustainability. Complex disorders and problems are analysing you systematically, guiding sustainable solutions and ensuring their successful implementation. Changes plan, evaluate and tax on risks and agreed availability, security and stability requirements. New technologies, platforms and architectural approaches are tested for technical suitability, integrating ability, operational safety and strategic added value for the company. In addition, you support the implementation and compliance of information security, compliance and governance requirements and provide technical audits and certification processes. You advise internal areas, project teams and stakeholders on infrastructural, technological and strategic issues and support sound decision-making processes. A revision-proof and comprehensible technical documentation is set up and you consider the basis for operation, audits, quality assurance and knowledge transfer within the organization. In addition, you tax, coordinate and evaluate services of both internal and external service providers, monitor compliance with agreed quality standards and take technical results. Through your multiannual experience, you bring best practices, methodological expertise and technical expertise into projects, operational processes and technology decisions and support the continuous development of the infrastructure environment.

You have a Bachelor Program in (economic)informatics, a further education as a technician (m/w/d) or a comparable qualification Multiannual professional experience in a comparable position The operation of high-availability server, storage and virtualization platforms is familiar to you With network and firewall architectures as well as IT/OT segmentation and zone concepts, you know the best Technical security measures such as curing, access control and logging in IT/OT environments are part of everyday work for you Ideally, you already have experience with KRITIS control systems as well as availability, redundancy and failover concepts in safety-critical environments Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 complete your profile

This body is remunerated with the remuneration group 12 in accordance with the collective agreement for utilities (TV-V). This corresponds to a gross annual salary of around 72,000 – 98,000 euros (depending on professional experience and qualification).
