Build the platform behind modern logistics

At Hellmann we build the foundation on which our development teams deliver, operate and scale digital products. The professional image of developers changes faster than in the last twenty years. generating code is increasingly delegable; what remains is the ability to understand systems as a whole and build the platform on which others become productive.

Our platform is the nervous system for business-critical services: Runtime: Our platform carries business-critical applications around the clock. This is why we are relying on stability, resilience and reliable operation. Observability: tools that explain and alert incidents instead of making noise. Governance: Guardrails and Golden Paths that integrate security directly into the workflow. Self-Service: That developers are productive without waiting for a ticket. Developer Experience: To make this work not only, but to make a real mood. On our platform are the Hellmann customer portal, the transport management systems for European land transport, air and sea freight applications and a growing number of other services. This also includes a public API gateway that is not only served by people. Platform as a Product. You develop our AWS and Kubernetes platform together with the development teams – from requirement to Golden Paths to stable operation. Kill the Ticket. You build reusable terraform modules and tools to enable teams to operate themselves.

Infrastructure professionals. Multiannual experience with AWS and Kubernetes in “real life” including troubleshooting. Automation specialist. IaC and Automation are in your blood. Manual work will be code with you, not documentation. Problem-solving. Linux, container and networking deep enough to remain calm even when a deployment hakt. Empathic engineer. You want other developers to do their job. Language. English is our common language in meetings, documentary and reviews.

What is also helpful Experience with parts of our stack (ArgoCD, Karpenter, Atlantis, Kyverno, Loki, Mimir, etc.) FinOps or Cloud Cost Optimization from Practice Experience with internal platforms, Golden Paths, Developer Tooling or own CLIs Workflow Engines like n8n or Argo Workflows Open source contributions in the form of code, issues, documentation or Maintainer work
