The Information and Technology Services department manages and organises all DKMS IT services worldwide. To enable as many people as possible a second chance of life, digitization is of central importance and IT is the key to success. The Infrastructure Management team is responsible for the IT infrastructure for all DKMS locations. This includes the operation and supervision of the data center as well as the databases and the global network. This provides a modern and reliable platform for all DKMS applications. For the support of our team at Tübingen, Cologne or Dresden, we are looking for a senior system administrator (m/w/d) Oracle / MS SQL.

You are responsible for the operation and further development of our Oracle database environment and our Microsoft SQL instances You process and managst service requests and incidents (2nd level support) via ticket system You order and tax service providers in 3rd level support You secure and monitor the environment and develop the backup and monitoring of DBMS You create and update technical documentation You support the operation of our data center You take part in the regular readiness outside office hours and weekends

You have successfully completed your studies, for example in the field of business informatics or equivalent training You bring at least 5 years of professional experience as Oracle DBA You have good knowledge of MS SQL, PostgreSQL or other relational SQL databases You are familiar with Linux administration as well as network and security concepts VMware, VLAN and SAN/NAS are not foreign words You bring basic business knowledge and good analytical understanding and design strength with You have very good German and English skills Self-initiative and self-employment characterize you You have a strong customer-oriented behavior as well as a very good expert store communication You are empathic, team-capable and your special collaborative ability, including interdisciplinary teams, complete your profile
