Number: MER00040SZ The plug-in hybrid vehicles (EQ Power) combine the electric driving experience in everyday life with the long-haul capability of the internal combustion engine – a central component for sustainable mobility at Mercedes‐Benz. In this internship you will become part of our team's operational strategy. We develop the software that intelligently controls the interaction of electric and internal combustion engines and thus optimizes efficiency, comfort and emissions. We work with prototype vehicles, test stands and modern simulation tools to develop, test and validate new functions. The focus of your activity is on the development of software, analysis and AI tools that support us in the diagnosis, evaluation and further development of our operating strategy software. These challenges include: Implementation and evaluation of SiL measurements (Software‐in‐the-Loop)

Development, extension and maintenance of automated analysis and evaluation routines for vehicle measurement data

Further development of our AI-based Cause Search for Software-Defects

The activity can begin from May/June/July 2026.

Study programme Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, Vehicle Technology or a related software/technical study programme

Good knowledge of Python

Basic knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink desirable

Experience with ETAS INCA/MDA

Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing
