Senior Physician Thoracic Surgery (m/f/d)

We are looking for a senior physician for thorax surgery in the Department of Surgery (Direction:Prof. Dr. med. Tobias Keck) in the field of thorax surgery (Head Prof. Dr. med. Michael Schweigert).

Thorax surgery is a professional and personally independent section within the clinic for surgery. The complete training authority (72 months) in the field of thorax surgery is present. The entire spectrum of thorax surgery is offered with the exception of lung transplantation. Special clinical focuses are complex oncological resections, robotics and ECMO in thorax surgery. Together with the Medical Clinic III (Pulmology) there is a DKG certified lung cancer center. The minimum quantities are safely reached. A high degree of interdisciplinary cooperation in the oncological centre of Lübeck and UCCSH as well as the close networking with university basic research provide ideal conditions for scientific activity.

This is what awaits you:

• The tasks of a senior physician with the guidance of the following doctors and their further education

• Participation in the Thorax Surgical Background Service and cooperation in the management team of the DKG-certified Lungenzentrum

• Participation in clinical development and its clinical-scientific activities and in the teaching tasks of the clinic

Take this with you:

• Extensive clinical and surgical experience in open and minimally invasive thorax surgery and corresponding evidence of performance (specialist for thorax surgery, if necessary Additional qualification

• Extensive experience in the use of ECMO in thorax surgery and in bronchoscopy with appropriate evidence (certified training or courses)

• Multiannual experience as a thorax-surgical background service in a university hospital or a hospital of maximum care including shock room management and surgical care of the thoraxtraumas

• High commitment, social competence, organizational talent and the ability to work together in a team-oriented, interdisciplinary manner

• Interesting in future-oriented, university-based patient care and in staff and student training
