As a central competence for technology and infrastructure, you develop architectural principles, guidelines and standards, advise the management and IT leadership in the development of the IT architecture and support the close interconnection of specialist areas and IT. On the one hand, you contribute to building and promoting the know-how about the IT architecture throughout the company and, on the other hand, to sharpen understanding of the goals, challenges and processes of the IT departments. Development and further development of IT architecture You shape a future-oriented and business-oriented IT architecture based on defined principles, standards and technologies. Strategic IT planning Together with the IT management, you will guide IT target images and roadmaps from the company's goals, including the assessment of new requirements and the creation of technical decision bases. Technology and System Assessment You support investment decisions through technology analysis (e.g. impact on cost, time, resources, architecture) and recommendations. Governance and consistency assurance Ensuring a harmonised IT landscape through active control of architecture standards and maintaining the architecture repository is your first priority. Cooperation and coordination In this role you act across locations for Hamburg and Tornesch and conduct a close cooperation with management, IT management, departments and project teams to implement the architecture strategy and improve the business IT integration.

You have a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Software Engineering or a comparable qualification with IT focus. You have several years of experience in the design of IT architectures, ideally in a medium-sized trade environment. You have a deep understanding of IT systems, data flows and integration architectures, e.g. CRM, ERP, e-commerce, warehouse and logistics systems and data management. You are versed in handling architecture tools and/or structured documentation and/or pragmatic solutions based on Confluence, SharePoint or Excel. You have good knowledge of IT security, cloud strategies and data management to fully evaluate technological decisions. You speak German at native language level and have good English skills in word and writing. Analytical and conceptual thinking are your strengths. You have secure moderation and consulting skills to make architectural decisions viable together with specialist areas, IT and management. You have a binding appearance and persuasiveness to effectively anchor standards and architectural policies within the company. Your work is determined by self-responsibility and initiative, coupled with the willingness to create structures and actively share knowledge. Occasionally traveling and changing between our two locations in Hamburg-Bahrenfeld and Tornesch make the task even more varied and exciting for you.
