IT Network Architect (m/f/d)

Technical mentoring: You support and support a small team of network and IT specialists and promote a cooperative and performance-oriented work environment. Operational network operation: You actively participate in the network infrastructure daily business, including the configuration, installation and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points. Network Architecture & Design: You design, plan and implement scalable and secure LAN/WAN and cloud network solutions that meet both current and future business needs. Troubleshooting & Support: You act as a central escalation entity for complex network problems and take on the further analysis and elimination of technical disorders to ensure high network availability and optimal performance. Project management: You plan and manage network-related IT projects from conception to completion and ensure that You are implemented on time, within the budget and in line with business requirements. Network security: Develop, implement and establish guidelines and processes for network security. You are responsible for firewalls, VPNs, NAC, as well as systems to detect and avoid attacks to protect the integrity of data and systems. Supplier & Stakeholder Management: You work closely with external service providers, internal departments and key stakeholders to define requirements, control service level agreements (SLAs), and inform about project progress and the performance of the network infrastructure. Documentation: You create and maintain comprehensive documentation on network architecture, configurations and processes as well as emergency and disaster recovery concepts

Complete Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a comparable degree programme. A comparable combination of training and practical work experience can be taken into account instead of a formal university degree. 8+ years of professional experience in the technical network environment. Industry certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or comparable certifications are advantageous. Detectable experience in the architecture of enterprise network environments and solutions as well as in the control of large-scale IT infrastructure projects. Knowledge of network infrastructure and routing and switching protocols, including BGP, OSPF and STP. Practical experience with enterprise switches, routers, firewalls, WLAN controllers and cloud networking technologies. Very good knowledge of network security principles, including VPN, IDS/IPS, Access Control and Threat Management. Comprehensive knowledge of the standards, implementation and security aspects of enterprise Wi-Fi environments. Experience with cloud networking concepts and services, such as AWS (VPC, Direct Connect) and Azure (VNet, ExpressRoute), as well as network monitoring and automation tools. Embossed analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems even under high time pressure. Very good communication and social competence as well as the ability to convey complex technical facts to non-technical stakeholders. Very good communication skills in German and English, combined with the ability to support and develop others, as well as to effectively align technical stakeholders and external service providers to common goals. Knowledge of ITIL practices, in particular incident, change and problem management. Very good organizational and prioritization capabilities as well as the ability to efficiently combine operational requirements and complex IT projects.
