In this role, you are responsible for customs compliance, export logistics and the implementation of project logistics in the area of Process Industries. You ensure that international project deliveries are made in accordance with the ABB guidelines, legal requirements and customer agreements.

You contribute to the Automation / Division Process Industries division in Cottbus. You report to the Head of Procurement & Logistics and work closely with Project Managers, Project SCMs, Engineering, Sales, Logistics Service Providers and the ABB Trade Compliance Organisation.

You are mainly responsible for:

Development and implementation of project-specific logistics, transport and packaging concepts for international customer projects Central logistics interface between customers, project teams, suppliers and logistics service providers to ensure efficient and consistent project execution Promote the continuous improvement of logistics, transport and procurement processes as well as support in supplier qualification and management of logistics service providers Perform the function as a local customs officer and ensure compliance with customs regulations, import/export requirements and ABB Global Trade Compliance Guidelines Coordination of export and import processes, including customs documentation, certificates of origin, supplier declarations, incoterms and customs tariffs

completed commercial training combined with relevant professional experience; an additional qualification as a customs officer is advantageous Multiannual professional experience in project logistics and/or customs / export control, ideally in an international project-driven industrial environment First experience in the field of customs is advantageous; If not yet available, the willingness to acquire this expertise on-the-job is assumed, as these topics are an essential part of the role. Proven experience in working in an international project environment Embossed communication and stakeholder management capabilities as well as a safe occurrence as an interface between project managers, engineering, sales, suppliers and logistics service providers Proactive, well-organized and self-responsible operation German and English language skills in word and writing
