Senior IT System Administrator - Focus on Virtualization/Backup Full-time (m/f/d)

Backup Management: Responsible for the planning, implementation and maintenance of backup and disaster recovery solutions. Ensuring data backup, recovery in emergency and regular review of backup strategies. Virtualization: Management and optimization of our virtualization platforms, including the installation, configuration and maintenance of virtual machines and their performance monitoring. Server management: management and operation of our physical and virtual server infrastructures. Installation, configuration, administration and continuous optimization of the servers. Support: Technical 2nd/3rd level support for system errors and malfunctions in backup and virtualization. Project support: support in the planning and implementation of IT projects, e.g. in the migration, expansion or optimization of our infrastructure Proactive maintenance and updates: Regular implementation of system updates, security checks and preventive maintenance measures to avoid system failures. Coordination with external service providers: cooperation with external IT service providers and providers to find solutions for complex IT problems.

Senior Consultant (m/w/d) or a comparable qualification Deep knowledge in the administration of virtualization solutions (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V) Funded knowledge and multi-year practical experience in the administration of backup solutions (e.g. Veeam). Found experience in server management, ideally also in the administration of cloud environments. Experience with storage systems and network technologies is beneficial High problem-solving capability and analytical thinking ability in fault diagnosis and performance optimization as well as a team-oriented, structured and independent operation. Flowing German knowledge in word and writing, English knowledge of advantage.
