As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With more than 8,000 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who are convinced that the Bundeswehr-IT will further develop in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security.

For our software engineering unit, we are looking for creative and experienced DevOps Engineers (m/w/d) who want to contribute their skills and expertise to our team.

We operate and develop the PRADA web service, a containerized microservice architecture that is operated in the pCloudBw as part of the Data Analytics Platform (DAP). PRADA is the initial capacity of the IT service prognosis for large equipment in the Bundeswehr (PrognFä). PRADA is divided into the simulation model Air and Land. Within the scope of our mandate, we are responsible for the construction and operation of essential components of application, the deployment processes, and the use of the application for analytical tasks in the context of Bundeswehr weapons systems.

Your profile:

• Completed studies (informatics and similar courses) or comparable training in the IT environment is absolutely necessary
• At least five years of professional experience after studying
• Very good knowledge of container technologies (e.g. Docker, Podman, Kubernetes)
• routine in handling the tools used in the CI/CD toolchain, such as GitLab, GitLab-CI, Nexus
• Experience in Linux system administration and implementation of automation workflows
• Negotiating knowledge of German in word and writing absolutely necessary

Your tasks:

• Platform integration & networking: You use our modern software development platform as a basis to seamlessly integrate a powerful solution into the Bundeswehr's private cloud
• Master of Orchestration: You take the lead in the automation of our DevOps processes and drive agile software development through intelligent workflows
• CI/CD on the next level: In close, trusting synergy with your Dev. team, you continuously grind our CI/CD pipelines to performance and efficiency
• Architecture & Cloud Services: You design, maintain and streamline our web service
• System stability: As a technical retention, you ensure the high availability of the application and solves emerging infrastructure or application problems with an analytical focus.
