As a backend developer, you play a central role in the design, development and maintenance of server-side logic, databases and APIs that drive our innovative applications. Backend Developer (d/m/w) PostgreSQL and Python Your tasks Development and optimization of backend systems: Write clean, efficient and scalable code. Expand, optimate and manage our database structures (PostgreSQL) to support complex geodata applications Concept and architecture development for complex database queries: Develop and implement technical concepts and architectures for our backend systems and database structures. Ensure that our database queries are scalable, robust and future-proof for strongly increasing data volumes Design and implementation of APIs and design of security concepts: Create and maintain APIs and API endpoints to support our front end and mobile applications. Implement robust security measures and data protection protocols to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our data Cooperation and Innovation: Work closely with frontend developers, the AI team, and product managers to develop innovative solutions. Always stay informed about the latest industry trends and technologies and introduce new ideas into the team Troubleshooting and Quality Assurance: Identify and correct errors, performance bottlenecks and other problems promptly. Drive code reviews ahead to ensure high code quality and create technical documentation for sustainable development work Your profile You bring 2+ years of professional experience in the backend development and have a completed study in computer science, engineering or the like or have a comparable training You have profound knowledge of Backend programming languages (Python) and have experience in designing and implementing APIs (ideally with frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI) and experience with version control systems Knowledge and experience with GIS databases are desirable Excellent problem solving capabilities, high detail accuracy, and good communication skills support your effective team collaboration Your benefits You work agile in a start-up environment and at the same time benefit from the security of a large group.
