You will create invention reports and evaluate new ideas regarding their patentability and their presentation in decision-making bodies. You carry out patent research, identify the state-of-the-art technology, analyze patent landscapes and start Freedom-to-Operate reports. You always support patent applications in DE, EP, US, PCT – from writing the description to submitting – in close cooperation with a patent attorney. You prepare patent defence measures, accompany audit procedures, initiate disputes and assist in litigation, in turn together with a patent attorney. You are investigating and negotiating the inventive remuneration and making it transparent, fair regulations. You are a key user (m/w/d) of the patent administration database, pause the data, update status information and ensure correct documentation. You conduct research in patent databases, run patent monitoring and are contact person (m/w/d) for all questions relating to industrial property rights.
You have a degree in mechanical engineering, shipbuilding or electrical engineering. You are ideally already bringing professional experience or in a comparable position. You have many years of experience in patent law and shipbuilding. You know German and European patent law, the Workers' Invention Act and the related remuneration guidelines from operational practice. You have basic knowledge of brand law and can express yourself in English in a safe manner. You are safe in dealing with MS‐Office and have experience with patent research tools as well as, advantageously, patent administration programs. You work independently, you are ready to continue to train yourself and bring commitment and readiness to learn.
