Specialist for IT administration, software development and teaching support (m/f/d)

Branch: Humanities Branch: Humanities

The Chair for Integrated Digital System and Circuit Design deals with the development of new architecture strategies, circuit concepts and design methods for the implementation of energy- and surface-efficient integrated circuits ("chips") in state-of-the-art, so-called nanoscale CMOS technologies. A steadily growing team of young talents and experienced researchers is constantly working on new ideas and exciting research projects. In close cooperation with other chairs at RWTH Aachen, we set targets for new applications and specifications at the level of technology and system development. We pursue a physically oriented design of integrated circuits (ICs) with the aim of implementing efficient systems. For example, hardware realizations for algorithms from the field of neuromorphic computing are investigated, wherein all design levels are considered from the system level to the technology. From this, the exciting challenge for the IT team at the Chair of Integrated Digital Systems and Circuit Design is to support the design process of algorithm development in a high language through to the physical measurement of a realized circuit. This requires continuous adaptation of the hardware and software infrastructure to the requirements of teaching and research. Furthermore, the chair and its IT team are commissioned with the theoretical and practical teaching of knowledge in the form of courses and internships, giving a lasting intensive exchange with a diverse and international student at RWTH Aachen. .
