As a public-law association with around 600 water enthusiasts, we plan, build and operate groundwater measuring stations, sewage plants, canal networks rain overflow and flood retention basins. In addition, we maintain and renaturate the rivers in the catchment area of Erft. Sustainable action and the good agreement of family and profession are of course for us. In the field of water, the division of water operation is as from 01.07.2026 Projektleiter*in / Deputy Head of Department (w/m/d) Structural water construction, water retention, flood management Ref. No 15-2026 to occupy. A full-time or full-time part-time job is possible.

The department has 90 employees in Bergheim as well as at the locations of the watermasters distributed in the association area. In addition to the professional and disciplinary representation of the departmental management, the demanding position involves the following tasks: Continuous development of natural water conservation taking into account flood protection for 1,484 km of water Communication and maintenance of trusted cooperation with members, water and environmental authorities and representatives of nature and landscape protection Implementation of construction projects such as water restorations, building renovations or new construction of flood protection systems Participation in the planning and implementation of flood operations Monitoring of engineering equipment (41 movable tar, 23 flood reservoirs, bridges) Support for department management in the strategic and operational development of the department and in cross-departmental change processes Representation of the Association in operational matters in internal and external specialist groups and bodies as well as in the public We are looking for a well-established managerial personality, who, on the one hand, has professional and organizational knowledge and experience and, on the other hand, is distinguished by a high social competence. The key position offered with many interfaces offers a large design playroom.
