As a transmission system operator, we secure the power supply for around eleven million people in Baden-Württemberg. We create the infrastructure for the energy transition by maintaining, optimizing and expanding the high-voltage network according to needs. With our network, we not only make the country an innovative power turntable in the heart of Europe, but also make the energy system of the future significant. The area of plant operation is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the 380- and 220-kilovolt network for substations and free lines in the area. In addition, it carries out the quality control for commissioned construction measures in the network. The aim of the plant operation is a fault-free and accident-free operation with high plant availability. You serve the team secondary technology with about 12 employees according to the leadership principles of the TransnetBW. Together with your team, you will provide the technical expert knowledge for secondary technology, object security and IT security in transfer stations and DC systems in the transport network from a company perspective. You and your team are responsible for operating and maintenance concepts, state assessments and identify potential for improvement in the plants. You use your employees to perform necessary disturbance analyses and develop corresponding findings (“Lessons Learned”). Meanwhile, you continuously develop your team (further development and qualification of your employees) as well as processes and standards. You are responsible for monitoring and ensuring all relevant work and environmental regulations and create an exemplary environment in your team that motivates your employees. You represent the TransnetBW externally in your area of responsibility and in particular examine the use of innovations provided by the market.

You have a completed Master's or Diploma in Electrical Engineering and have several years of professional experience. You have the ability to lead and motivate qualified employees. Ideally, you bring knowledge in the operational operation of high-voltage systems. You are a communication partner and a model for your team in the field of occupational safety. You are characterised by an independent and structured way of working, organisational skills and self-initiative. You bring safe German, good English and a class B licence on board.
