As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. Senior DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) from 01.07.2025 and in full time preferred in Bonn, alternatively nationwide at one of our BWI locations. In the field of Analytics & Simulation (A&S), we develop and operate IT for the Bundeswehr, which is required for the collection, analysis, compilation and use of data to achieve information dominance and superior decision speed. The area implements data-centered projects in customer and private operation. From the evaluation of the latest scientific findings from the research fields AI and data science to the implementation of crisis-relevant enterprise solutions for several thousand users, we cover the entire spectrum of modern data-driven systems. Our focus is on data science, AI & machine learning, their architectures and their full-stack software development. We rely on agile working methods and close cooperation with our customers to develop innovative and high-quality products. We focus on future-oriented scenarios of public administration at federal and military level.

Planning, design, implementation and further development of an on-prem cloud native application platform for the crisis prevention information system of our customer Bundeswehr Automated deployment of containerized applications by CI/CD in an agile team Monitoring and optimization of the platform by using observability tools Systematic curing by implementing requirements of IT security Expansion and maintenance of technical documentation of the task area Preparation and support of the holding

Complete university studies in computer science combined with more than 4 years of relevant professional experience at best in the development or operation of business applications in safety-sensitive industries such as e.g. Banking, insurance, auditing or military Multiannual experience in DevOps and CI/CD architecture (e.g. using tools such as GitLab, ArgoCD, Nexus, Artifactory) and concepts such as GitOps and Infrastructure as Code as well as in container virtualization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) Multiannual practical knowledge in interfaces and synchronous/asynchronous communication protocols (HTTP/REST, GraphQL, Kafka) as well as in Java Spring boot and database integration by JPA and in the Frontend React(JS) desirable Good knowledge in the environment Identity & Access Management ideally by means of KeyCloak or the like. Good knowledge in the environment Certificates and DNS German language knowledge in word and writing as well as very good English knowledge absolutely necessary
