The BBR is a federal authority in the department of the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Building (BMWSB). The main tasks are the implementation of construction measures by the Federal Government, in particular for the constitutional bodies and for the ministries in Berlin, Bonn and abroad as well as for the Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz in Berlin. Unit B 2 is responsible for the constructional principle in the BBR. These include, among other things, the preparation of external structural rules and specifications, the internal structural requirements (work regulations construction) and the further development of knowledge management for the structural area via the intranet of the BBR.
