Financial Controller / Balance Sheet Holder (m/f/d)

Accounting & Financial Control Creation, testing and self-responsibility of monthly financial statements (Bilanz, GuV and Cashflow) Implementation and documentation of balance sheet voting and ensuring high data quality Active participation in monthly and annual accounts Examination and booking of manual bookings if required Support for day-to-day operations in accounting and controlling External reporting & Group reporting Ensuring correct and timely annual accounts according to German trade law (HGB) Support for IFRS reporting and Group reporting Ensuring compliance with Hunter Douglas Group-wide accounting policies Central contact person for external auditors and support of the audit processes Regulator & Taxes Ensuring compliance with all local legal, tax and sales tax requirements Support for the creation and submission of tax returns and official reports Identification of risks and ensuring compliance with local regulations Cooperation & GBS Close cooperation with the Global Business Services (GBS) while maintaining local responsibility for accounting issues Monitoring the service quality and solution of operational issues Special Representative for Accounting Themes to Business Units People & Business Partnership Close cooperation with local finance colleagues, controllers and operational teams Technical support and guidance of junior employees in the finance sector (if applicable) Building and maintaining trusted working relationships between finance and operational areas

The ideal candidate (m/w/d): Features well-founded practical experience in accounting in a German environment Is trained balance book holder (or comparable) with pronounced controlling characteristics Owns very good knowledge of German accounting (HGB) and good IFRS characteristics Has experience in compiling annual accounts and balance sheets Works hands-on in Accounting and Controlling Brings experience from complex or international organizations with Works structured, detailed and takes responsibility for financial data Communicate clear and likes to work in the team Manages German and English safely in word and writing
