The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (www.fraunhofer.de) currently operates 75 institutes and research institutions in Germany and is one of the leading organisations for application-oriented research. We, the Fraunhofer Institute for Research Production Battery Cell FFB, have made it our task to become the center of the development of a modern and scalable battery cell production for Germany and Europe. We work every day to create an infrastructure that enables companies and research institutions to test, implement and optimize the production of new batteries close to the standard. This is how we design the battery cell production of tomorrow. As Head*in (m/w/d) of the Energy Technology Group, you are responsible for the technical and disciplinary coordination of the 4-member team.

What you do with us

• In your role as a group leader*in, you take the group's technical and disciplinary leadership as well as the capacity, finance and personnel planning.
• In addition, you conduct regular employee and feedback talks and are responsible for selecting strategic seminars and research-relevant training measures.
• You are actively engaged in the strategic development of energy technology and factory planning for sustainable battery giga factories and develop innovative scientific supply concepts for energy, materials and media – with a special focus on clean room and dry room technologies.
• Your field of work is rounded off by the acquisition, coordination and processing of national and international industrial and public research projects around battery cell production.

What you bring

• The basis for this activity is a completed academic degree in the field of mechanical engineering, energy engineering or comparable with very good academic achievements.
• In addition, you will bring at least two years of professional experience in the field of renewable energies or energy management systems in the context of battery cell production.
• You have already gained first leadership experience in science through the supervision of graduation and/or of young scientists.
• You are characterized by a high degree of autonomy, confidentiality, reliability and organizational ability.
• Your strengths also include very good analytical and conceptual skills as well as a pronounced team orientation and communication strength.
• Very good knowledge of German and good English in word and writing complete your profile.
