Cloud Engineer GCP Systems & Platform (m/f/d)

Take over GCP platform overship.You are Owner of our GCP-tenants: all services, all projects, the entire infrastructure in Terraform. What lives longer than five minutes exists as a code – no console clicks, no shadow IT. You know each component and have a clear overview of costs, safety and operational stability.

Build and operate supplier integrations.Everytimes our platform synchronizes orders, order confirmations and tracking updates with over 25 supplier partners – via Cloud Functions, Pub / Sub, Webhooks and E-Mail-Parsing in Python and AI. You develop new connections, stabilise existing and steadfast for robust error handling, retry logic and observability.

Developing internal dashboards.Our operating reporting dashboards (conversion, delivery codes, team performance) run in Looker Studio on dataform transformation models in BigQuery. You enter these, build new key figures and are the first contact person if numbers do not vote or specialist areas need new evaluations.

Together with our external data team, you develop new models, improve existing models and build new data quality checks. You don't have to be a data engineer specialist, but you understand what happens, and you can discuss it in content.

External experts coordinate and review.We work with a mixed team of freelancers, agencies and specialists. Your task is not to build everything yourself – but to understand what is being built to make code reviews, to write briefings, and to jump in targeted when something goes wrong or needs to be made.

Set and maintain platform standards.You recognize when a new tool or framework unnecessarily complicates the ecosystem. You have an opinion on how services should look at us – and you are doing this through reviews, documentation and direct discussions. In the long term, you ask for our platform to grow in a uniform direction: a stack, a framework standard, no technical island solutions.

You have to bring this with you: At least 4 years of productive experience as a cloud or backend developer – with real end-to-end management for cloud systems in production Deep GCP Practice (Cloud Functions, Pub / Sub, Terraform, IAM, Cloud Storage) or AWS experience with clearly proven readiness and ability to switch to GCP Python as main language – not only script level, but with depth: testing, dependency management, clean module structure, code reviews Detectional speed of incorporation: You have developed new technologies or domains in your career and have quickly become productive Generalist-Mindset: Integration, infrastructure and data at the same time on the table – this is a change for you, no overrequest That would be nice: First experiences with BigQuery, Dataform or dbt Looker Studio or comparable BI / reporting tools Dagster, Airflow or other orchestration frameworks Experience with e-commerce or ERP systems (Magento, Odoo) GCP Professional Cloud Developer Certification
