Your working environment

We develop social future! As an operating IT service provider of the Federal Employment Agency (BA), the IT system house at the main location Nuremberg/Fürth and at various locations throughout Germany with over 100 IT applications, 180.000 connected PC workstations and the associated infrastructure runs one of the largest IT landscapes in Germany and continuously develops them. You will be hired as an IT engineer/in in the IT system house.

Possible locations for this call are: Nuremberg/Fürth, Berlin, Bochum, Chemnitz, Düsseldorf, Hannover, Krefeld Lübeck. Please specify your preferred work location (if applicable several).

It is used as a Senior Professional System Engineer for the unit "Cooperation and Knowledge Management", which is essential for promoting effective communication and collaboration within the BA. We implement modern software solutions such as the Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite, use intensive SharePoint and provide applications such as the internal learning platform or the proposal. In addition, we develop specific applications on the SharePoint platform to ensure a seamless flow of information and to enable improved workflows.

We promote the introduction of new technologies such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint online, innovation management and speech and whiteboard software to expand the possibilities of teamwork and further support creativity. We thus create a decisive added value for the BA by providing a future-oriented, safe and efficient working environment.

Flexibility is just as important to us in the IT system house as the personal exchange with the team: Therefore, we offer you the opportunity to work up to 80 percent in the home office.

Tasks and Activities

As a senior professional system engineer, you are responsible for the operation of the software products used for speech recognition and digital whiteboard solutions. They design, develop, test, optimize and operate software solutions and infrastructures that meet the requirements of the client and the user. They work in interdisciplinary teams to create and/or adapt high-quality and reliable software and infrastructures.

Your tasks and activities include the independent implementation and guidance of others

• Planning, management and optimization of IT systems and infrastructures
• Analysis of system requirements and performance data
• Development, updating and monitoring of software and updating and monitoring of hardware
