The data center of the financial administration of North Rhine-Westphalia (RZF) is the central IT centre of the Landesfinanzverwaltung. We operate and maintain the IT infrastructure, which is used daily by thousands of employees of the entire financial management. Our architecture management in the RZF ensures that all IT systems – from classic on-premises applications to cloud services – are designed, developed and operated resiliently according to clearly defined principles, standards and processes. We ensure that new technologies can be integrated into the existing IT landscape in a flexible, scalable and regular manner. With this we make a central contribution to the digitization of the entire state of North Rhine-Westphalia – from tax returns to official services for citizens. As a cloud architect or cloud architect, you take over the overall responsibility for the cloud implementation project. Your goal is to position the RZF as an IT service provider for the control and provision of cloud services in the hybrid multi-cloud environment and thus to set a crucial component for the digitization of NRW. Your tasks are: Head of the Cloud Introduction Project Creating and establishing a hybrid multi-cloud infrastructure to provide cloud capacities for KONSENS and the NRW financial management Establishment and implementation of the necessary technical and organizational structures for cloud use Data Center of the financial management of North Rhine-Westphalia Planning and monitoring of cloud initiatives taking into account IT security, data protection and legal requirements Creation, evaluation and further development of operating concepts Cooperation in an interdisciplinary team to select suitable cloud architectures for artificial intelligence Support in deriving long-term technology roadmaps and developing the RZF architecture framework Accompanying the transformation in the RZF and coordination with various disciplines and stakeholders

You have a master's degree in an IT-relevant discipline (e.g. computer science, business informatics, mathematics, physics, news technology or engineering) or a university degree in the disciplines mentioned. Further necessary conditions You have several years of practice in cloud architecture (hybrid / multi-cloud), ideally in public institutions or in complex corporate environments. You have experiences in managing complex IT or transformation projects. You have good knowledge of software/technology architectures, ideally of large corporate structures and distributed application landscapes. You have experience with hybrid IT architectures and the integration of on-premises systems in cloud environments. You have experience in using public clouds (preferably sovereign cloud providers from the EU). You have experience with IT-Governance, Cloud-Compliance, Data Protection (GDPR) and Security Standards (ISO 27001, BSI-Grundschutz). You have knowledge of artificial intelligence, ideally additional experience with AI projects. Analysis Communication strength In addition to your professional know-how, you have very good German knowledge in word and writing. You like to work in the team and actively contribute to the development of good solutions and innovations. In addition, Knowledge of software development (methods, databases, frameworks, tools, patterns) and/or the structure and functioning of IT environments (databases, integration of standard SW) Knowledge of project management methods Knowledge of architectural tools and frameworks ITIL knowledge Knowledge of public administration
