Then, SAP Retail Practice Lead & Chief Architect (m/w/d) will become a key player in the design and implementation of end-to-end solutions for the retail industry. Architecture and innovation – Develop future-proof solutions: Analysis of current business requirements and definition of technological objectives. Creating, designing and implementing tailor-made SAP solutions that are perfectly matched to our customers' corporate strategy. Identification and communication of risks (business, technical, application-related) at company and business level. Participation in business and architecture planning sessions to anticipate future strategies. Definition of rollout, release and deployment strategies as well as support in planning project scope, schedules and responsibilities. Industry expertise and pre-sales – convincingly positioning SAP solutions: Management of pre-sales cycles, including tenders and customer requests. Supporting the retail go-to-market strategy through sales activities, events, webinars and collaboration with SAP and partners. Preparation and management of customer presentations and site assessments. Pre-sales documentation, such as schedules, role assignments and feasibility analyses. Integration and coordination – successfully implement projects: Coordination and management of interdisciplinary teams (consulter, developer, analysts) over all phases of the project: analysis, design, configuration, development, testing, documentation and production. Ensuring the integrity and end-to-end integration of all solution components. Support for Fit-to-Standard workshops, validation of technical solutions and identification of process improvements. Fastest possible diagnosis and solution of complex SAP problems during the projects. Design and architecture of new SAP landscapes that are scalable, cost-effective and future-proof.

A completed study in computer science, information technology, software engineering or comparable training. At least 15 years of experience in SAP implementations, especially with SAP Retail and S/4HANA. Expertise in pre-sales activities, blueprints, Explore/Fit-to-standard processes and integration projects. Knowledge about the consumer industry, in particular the retail segment processes, trends and challenges. Designed strategic and tactical skills with excellent planning and implementation skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills in German and English (required for cooperation with international customers and partners). Ability to address objections confidently and convincingly, as well as a high degree of discipline in customer interactions.
