As part of your practice-integrated dual study (starting 01.09.2025) at the Ruhr West University (HRW) You have acquired the practical application knowledge acquired at Uniper by an engineer of electrical and control technology with the study contents of the lectures at the university. From the first day you will be accompanied by an extensive mentoring by our engineering team.

You will learn the different areas and locations of our international company during the practical phases at Uniper. From the outset, you will be involved in important projects and assist us in the implementation of company-specific tasks relating to the energy technology/energy transition and will also be able to know the corresponding business processes.

The study at the HRW at the campus in Bottrop is divided into compulsory and optional modules. In addition to compulsory subjects such as mathematics, electrical engineering, measurement and control technology, electrical energy technology and networks, process and control technology, safety and reliability in energy networks, network integration of renewable energy systems, communication and communication for energy systems, extensive and exciting topics from energy informatics are available in the selection module area.

The course of the study ends with a three-month bachelor thesis, which you can also complete with us in the departments.

Ducal studies

The practical-integrated dual study programme is implemented in weeks-integrativ, i.e. the learning places of the Ruhr West University at the Campus Bottrop and the internal learning locations in our engineering departments at Uniper are changing. This creates an interesting and mutually building mix of the study and practice phases.

You finish the dual study after 4.5 years with the Bachelor of Science degree (B. Sc.). The tuition fees are taken over by us.
