Senior Account Manager (m/w/d) We are looking for the Office for Environmental Protection of the Landeshauptstadt Stuttgart. The place shall be occupied on 01.01.2027 and indefinitely.

The Altlast and Bodenschutz property is responsible for the technical processing of waste loads, harmful soil changes and groundwater damage, takes care of the collection of waste land and is committed to the long-term protection of valuable soils in Stuttgart. International projects support professional development and promote exchange with partners in Germany and abroad.

You run the property of Altlast and Bodenschutz (Fachtechnik) with currently 14 employees You develop the professional processing of municipal and private old loads and develop concepts for effective old load processing The responsibility of the budget of the area of expertise and the application of grants and funding at national and international level are also part of your tasks. Your responsibility lies in the project management of urban and international projects in the areas of old-load groundwater protection, soil protection and area development You cause particularly complex old load investigations or Remedial measures, especially for land recycling measures You represent the department in working circles of the country for the development of the old load processing and soil protection and work strategically conceptually, e.g. on the development of the ground protection concept Stuttgart (BOKS) Its responsibility includes the creation of templates and reporting in political bodies such as the municipal council or district council A change or addition of the task area is reserved.

A completed scientific study (Master/Diplom-Ing.) of the Department of Civil Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Geosciences or a comparable discipline (for foreign degrees, the submission of state recognition in Germany is required) Experience in the field of tendering, awarding and implementing technical projects and measures as well as in funding Knowledge of expertise and multiannual professional experience in the searched area of oldloads and land protection as well as in the creation and implementation of strategic concepts in the processing of oldloads taking into account urban planning aspects and the design of construction are of advantage Ideally, leadership experience or proof of appropriate leadership qualifications, combined with pronounced communication skills, social competence and enforcement capability, and negotiation security Knowledge of GIS systems and safe handling of MS Office applications Good subject-specific expressability in word and writing in the German language, reliable English knowledge in word and writing are desirable
