Senior Physician for Internal Medicine with additional qualification in geriatrics (m/f/d)

The Saale Hospital Calbe is a clinic for internal medicine focusing on Geriatrie. Since May 2021, the hospital has been part of the Medicover Group and thus part of a network of more than 20 medical care centres throughout Germany, primarily with the treatment focuses of endocrinology and Internal medicine. The Saale Hospital Calbe stands for high-quality medical and nursing care - also beyond the circles. With 150 employees, around 3,000 patients are treated in two departments each year. The Geriatrie department has 65 beds. 43 beds are assigned to the General Internal Medicine department.

In the General Internal Medicine Department, all internalist diseases are treated conservatively. Modern functional diagnostics allows: gastroscopy, colonoscopy, swallowing diagnosis, echocardiography, sonography of vessels, thyroid gland and abdomen, bicycle ergometry, bodyplethysmography, long-term RR and long-term ECG.

The specialist practice “Radiological Center Mansfelder Land” operates a modern multi-line CT in the hospital. There are close cooperation with the hospitals of the surrounding area, including the University Hospital Magdeburg.

Management tasks technical management and supervision of the subordinate assistant physicians Implementation of the technical objectives of the Geriatrie Clinic developed together with the other senior physicians and the chief physician Own-sponsored professional leadership of the assigned station under regular supervision of the chief physician Promoting and demanding employees Assessment and feedback to the staff members

Special tasks Weekly visits of patients at the station representation and interaction with members of the patients of the assigned station Active engagement in projects of the chief physician, the clinic location Ensuring the implementation of therapy, diagnostics and treatment at specialist level Compliance with applicable statutory provisions and regulations (Hygieneordnung, Arbeitsschutz, QM provisions) Execution of service instructions and compliance with agreements Optional Participation in the (Ruf)Travel Service, if desired Constructive cooperation with other occupational groups of the hospital In consultation with the head physician of the Geriatrie station-related processing of requests from the medical service (incl. examination of opinions or Initiation of opposition proceedings)
