Research Assistant (m/f/x)

For our customers, a World market leader in the metal and electrical industry we are looking for a Scientific employee (m/w/x) for the Oberkochen location in full time 40h:

Your tasks:

• Selecting suitable measuring principles
• Design of measuring instruments and develop measuring procedures, calibration methods, signal filters and analytical methods
• Transfer of physical principles and approaches to powerful algorithms
• Start-up of complex measuring machines, qualification of this and subsequent take-over into the production support
• Team leadership in R&D, engineering and manufacturing
• Special responsibility for managing work packages and projects

Requirements:

• Successfully completed scientific or technical studies in the field of physics, technical optics, mechanical engineering, mechatronics or comparable to master levels, ideally with doctorate
• Finded knowledge of optical measurement technology, in particular of interferometric or spectroscopic measurement methods
• Deeper understanding of measurement algorithm development, calibration methods, error budgets, data analysis & preparation, adjustment of optical components
• Programming skills, preferably in Python or MATLAB
• High level of team skills and commitment
• Experience in project work desirable
• German and English language skills in word and writing
