Head of Occupational Safety & Health (m/f/d)

You assume the overall responsibility for the integrated control of occupational safety and occupational health services at the site and ensure the legally and ISO-compliant implementation of all occupational safety and occupational health requirements in a complex production environment. The establishment of clear governance, PPE, decision-making and escalation structures vis-à-vis work management and board is one of your tasks. The strategic development of occupational and health protection, taking into account production requirements, risks and resources, as well as the management and integration of existing specialist areas while maintaining their professional independence, will be part of your core tasks. You are central contact persons and representation function vis-à-vis trade unions, supervisory authorities and other external and internal bodies. You control the prevention and accompaniment of events and crises including professional preparation for management and bodies and develop and promote effective, proactive and self-responsibility-based safety and health culture at the plant. Controlling the risk-reducing assessment system for safety-relevant processes and plant parts including MoC is part of your task portfolio. You take responsibility for the sustainable implementation of safety and health-related improvement projects (including supportive digitization concepts) and maintain close cooperation with factory management, HR, co-determination and other interface functions such as the H&S Group Department.

You have completed university studies, e.g. in engineering, health sciences, medicine or a comparable discipline, as well as at least eight years of professional and leadership experience in the occupational and health protection of an industrial company – with a clear focus on occupational safety in complex production areas. You are professionally identified experts in occupational safety, make resilient decisions and manage safety-related issues risk-based and effective. For you, the sovereign handling of professional cooperatives, supervisory authorities and audit bodies is part of everyday work. At the same time, you will bring a well-founded understanding of occupational medicine and ensure that occupational health concerns are integrated into a holistic safety and health strategy. Their leadership style is clear, responsibly and strong. You lead interdisciplinary teams collaboratively, develop employees in a targeted manner and combine leadership skills with professional authority. You communicate very safely across all levels in German and English and have a safe appearance, high analytical and conceptual strength as well as pronounced process and implementation competence.
