Senior Legal Counsel Technology & AI / IT Law (m/f/d)

Do you want to actively shape the legal framework for software, digital products and AI applications? Then become part of our international legal team and support the development of innovative business models at the interface of law, technology and consulting. You build the International Technology Centre of Expertise, identify technological and regulatory trends and establish standards, processes and best practices for technology, software and AI law

You advise international teams, product owners and software development teams on software, SaaS, cloud and AI solutions along the entire product lifecycle and develop legally secure, practical solutions

You negotiate and shape complex technology, licensing and implementation contracts as well as strategic partnerships

You develop scalable contract standards, playbooks and decision guides that promote innovation and at the same time minimize risks

You are responsible for the Legal AI Factory & Think Tank, prioritizing Use Cases, developing AI-based solutions and establishing governance, quality and control mechanisms for their use

You act as a Sparring Partner:in for Business, Technology, Compliance, Risk and Management, coordinates legal issues relating to Intellectual Property, Data Protection, Cybersecurity and Digital Regulation and strengthens technology and AI competencies within the Legal Team through knowledge sharing, training and modern working methods

In this key strategic role you report directly to the General Counsel and are a member of the Legal Leadership Team. This position is now to be filled in full time. Possible locations are Hamburg, Leipzig, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt am Main, Walldorf, Stuttgart and Munich. Please submit your application documents in English.

You have a successful degree in law and at least eight years of professional experience in technology, IT, software or AI law

You have gained experience in a technology, software, SaaS or consulting company and in the international environment; additional experience in an international business law firm is advantageous

You bring sound expertise in the negotiation, design and strategic accompaniment of software, SaaS, cloud, development, license and technology contracts with

You understand digital business models, software products and innovative technologies and develop pragmatic, risk-conscious solutions for complex legal issues

You have knowledge of intellectual property, artificial intelligence, data protection, cybersecurity and digital regulation

You have experience in building governance structures, standards or legal-tech initiatives and are committed to international and interdisciplinary stakeholder environments

You are convinced by strategic thinking, entrepreneurial understanding and knowledge of German and English; French is a plus
