Number: MER00049WI The team “Development Engineeringum Rohbau” produces prototype components for the raw structure in the body development. We are responsible for the construction of equipment, tool manufacturing, forming, laser cutting, (small)ZB production and quality assurance. In addition, we secure the use of new steels in the body and drive forward the further development of innovative production technologies in cold and hot forming as well as in sheet metal forming simulation. These challenges include: Implementation and evaluation of sheet metal forming simulations Planning and implementation of tests in cold and hot forming Conducting tests for the mechanical material characterization of sheet metal materials Preparation and documentation of results The activity can begin from March 2027.

Study programme in the field of mechanical engineering, materials science, manufacturing technology or a comparable degree programme Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing Practical experience in sheet metal forming and material characterization Knowledge in sheet metal forming simulation Safe handling of MS Office Commitment and team skills Analytical thinking and strategic, independent working
