Who are we looking for:

For our team “Operating Management Electricity and Data Networks” we are looking for a dedicated, motivated and qualified research project by 28.02.2029 at the next possible time Projektingenieur (m/w/d) The application is carried out in the research project “CloudEnerChain – Cloud-based interoperability in energy systems through a secure chain of trust” funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. The project offers a particularly attractive combination of practical application in network operation and innovative research work. This creates a varied task that allows both deep insight into the operational operation and active participation in pioneering technological developments.

Project management: You conduct a subproject and accompany work packages in the funded research project CloudEnerChain as well as selected business projects in coordination with the departments. Coordination: Continuous coordination with ISMS, secondary technology, project partners and the funding provider is guaranteed. Risk Management: You are responsible for threat analysis and operational risk management – general and project-specific. Network security: Analysis, backup and operation of OT/IT networks (including SCADA, firewalls, VLANs) are within your task. Vulnerabilities: Safety assessments and vulnerability analyses of OT/IT components are carried out independently. Security concepts: You actively participate in the creation and further development of security and emergency concepts. Management systems: The further development of management systems according to IT-SiKat (BNetzA) as well as the implementation of audits and penetration tests are supported professionally. Data concepts: Concepts for secure data transmission of OT components are developed and you optimise. Documentation: You prepare results in a structured manner and present them for example for funding reports or conferences.

Your qualification: You have a university degree with specific expertise in the field of IT security, electrical engineering/automatization or a comparable discipline. Your Office and IT skills: A safe handling of common computer applications, especially MS Office, is natural for you and you know industrial communication protocols (e.g. IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104, Modbus) Your experiences: You can demonstrate relevant professional experience in electrical engineering and/or in the IT environment. An analytical and conceptual way of working as well as a high affinity for IT processes are what distinguishes you. You have the ability to document and communicate complex processes in a comprehensible, structured and logical manner. The job addresses you, but you don't fill the profile to 100%?
