You have the opportunity to write your master thesis in a dynamic environment and get exciting insights into basic processes around the topic of microstructure studies on laser welds. You support the department in the field of thermal and mechanical connection technology and work on the process development of laser beam welding for a new pressure sensor of a heat pump. The process development of first samples is accompanied by you. Together with our process developers, you can move in the areas of pattern construction and sensor technology. relevant topics are researched by you and you carry out metallographic research, microstructure analysis and hardness measurements. You work in a project team, work independently and participate in SE team meetings (Simultaneous Engineering).

Education: You have a Bachelor's degree programme and are currently in master's degree in the field of materials science, mechatronics, laser material processing, mechanical engineering, etc. Working and personality: independent, structured and analytical procedures; high own initiative and good team skills Experiences and know-how: Ideally, you have knowledge in the field of laser technology and REM analyses, as well as first experiences in metallography, refining and their evaluation.
