Classification: The body is technically and professionally responsible for the interoperability solutions of the clinic, the associated interfaces and communication platforms. The role is located in the team interoperability of the Centre for Information and Communication (ZIK) and reports directly to the team management. Close cooperation with the other teams of the IT applications department, the IT infrastructure department, the various departments of the clinic, as well as external manufacturers and service providers.

The function is responsible for the stable and secure operation of the interoperability solutions, including interface management, which are assigned to its area of responsibility. It ensures continuous and demand-oriented further development – taking into account legal requirements, technical standards and requirements of the departments. In addition, the activity includes the participation of projects that ensure the performance, efficiency and future security of interoperability solutions in the long term.

In essence, the activity includes the following tasks: Operation, monitoring and further development of the supervised interoperability solutions, as well as the connected interfaces and platforms. Planning, implementation and documentation of updates, patches and upgrades in the area of interoperability solutions. Consultation and support of the specialist areas (medical, administrative, technical) in interoperability issues, requirements analysis and process optimization. Coordination with the IT infrastructure with regard to system landscapes, networks, security and availability. Introduction and safeguarding of standards (e.g. information models) and legal requirements (e.g. information security) Coordination and control of manufacturers and external service providers, e.g. during operation, maintenance and further development. Participation, implementation and management of interoperability and system integration projects including Documentation, testing, rollout and training. Second-level support for the supervised integration solutions incl. Error analysis, elimination and close cooperation with internal and external partners. Coordination with first-level support, efficient incident processing and a clear escalation and communication structure. Representation within the team as needed and active participation in the further development of the interoperability strategy

Professional qualifications: completed studies of (medical) informatics, business informatics or comparable qualifications; Alternatively, an IT-oriented training with multi-year professional experience, preferably in health care. Knowledge of interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, IHE, DICOM) and communication platforms. Technical understanding of networks, servers, databases, messaging systems and interface architecture. Experience with operation, further development and customization of interoperability solutions. Knowledge in the area of data protection and information security is advantageous. Knowledge of process and project management (e.g. ITIL, IPMA, agile methods) is desirable. Experience in cooperation with manufacturers, external service providers and support structures (first/second level). Personal competencies: Analytical and conceptual thinking, quality awareness and structured, solution-oriented working. Communication strength and ability to illustrate complex IT skills in a comprehensible way. Team skills and cooperation, especially in interdisciplinary projects with IT, technology, clinic staff and external partners. Enforcement and diplomatic skill in coordinating requirements and solving conflicts. Organisational and negotiation skills, in particular when controlling manufacturers and service providers. Efficiency, flexibility and ability to secure priorities even under time pressure. Strategic and economic thinking to align integration solutions within the meaning of the overall organisation.
