Software Development Engineer – Focus on Signal Processing Sonic Systems (f/m/d)

We offer a wide range of services to our customers, including Sonars and Sensors, Guide Systems for submarines and overwater ships, mine defence systems, unmanned underwater vehicles and radio and communication systems.

Your area of responsibility is the independent development of software components for sonar systems. To do this, you analyze requirements for sonar functions, design appropriate software components and implement them for our sonar systems. You conceptualize algorithms and evaluate their applicability to use in the software components and are also responsible for creating specifications, design and test descriptions. You carry out tests of the software components and the error analysis in the target system independently. In addition, you will be prudent to existing software components and implement your own ideas for redesign. You present your results to different target groups in the system development process or in the acquisition phase. You are the most successful technological trends and you are a key contributor to using them in the company.

You have a successfully completed study of computer science, electrical engineering, communications technology, mathematics or physics. You have already gained (first) professional experience in software development -Clean Code and Software Craftsmanship are not foreign words, you like to write tests as well as productive code. You have a well-founded knowledge of object-oriented software development with modern C++ and brings first experience in the areas of design, testing, build (cmake) and/or continuous integration of software (CI/CD) - preferably with GitLab. You are versed in implementing mathematical algorithms in efficient software and ideally already have first experience in the field of digital signal processing. The ability to work quickly, structured and with agile methods will distinguish you. You convince by team skills, high sense of responsibility and flexibility. Good knowledge of German and English in word and writing are of course for you.
