As EHS Lead, you play a central role in ensuring health, safety, environmental compliance and operational excellence at the site. You actively promote sustainable security culture, support compliance with legal and internal requirements and act as an important respondent for audits, inspections, authorities and external service providers. Responsibility for the implementation and further development of health, safety and environmental standards (EHS) at the site Promoting proactive safety culture through consultation, training and support of employees Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and internal EHS requirements Implementation and follow-up of risk assessments and support in implementing appropriate measures Investigation of incidents, analysis of causes and coordination of corrective and preventive measures Monitoring the environmental performance of the site as well as support for corresponding reporting and documentation obligations Planning, coordination and supervision of internal and external audits and official inspections Function as a central contact person for authorities, auditors, service providers and external partner companies in all EHS-relevant topics Control and monitoring of external service providers and contract entities in accordance with applicable safety requirements Support for site improvement and maintenance and development of infrastructure Ensuring proper EHS documentation and auditable management system Development, maintenance and implementation of emergency and crisis management measures Tracking of EHS key figures and identifying potential for improvement Cooperation with internal departments to promote a safe, sustainable and legally compliant working environment Participation in continuous improvement projects to increase safety, compliance and operational efficiency
Qualifications & experience
Professional experience in an industrial production environment, ideally in the food, chemical, pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry Practical experience in occupational safety, environmental management or EHS Experience in the implementation of risk assessments and risk assessments Knowledge of incident management and the implementation of corrective and preventive measures Experience with internal and external audits and regulatory inspections Experience in coordinating external service providers and contractors Understanding location infrastructure, maintenance processes and continuous improvement measures Good knowledge of relevant EHS regulations and legal compliance requirements Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
