At the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, the following professorship is to be given as of 01.09.2026 or later: W2-Professorship “Media Informatics and Creative Computing”

In the field of technology and design, we are looking for a personality with profound knowledge in the development of digital applications - especially in the context of web technologies, interactive media and programming in the creative sector. Its teaching area includes the mediation of basics in higher programming languages with media coverage as well as the use of modern APIs in the field of digital media, distributed and embedded systems, also in combination with AI-based systems.

You are responsible for the exciting task of carrying out practical courses in the field of basic training and in your individual focus. You support young people in their development and support project and final work. You are involved in applied research as well as in technology and knowledge transfer between university and business. You cooperate with our international partner universities. Through your commitment to self-administration, you are shaping the development of our university. You take over further diverse service tasks according to § 46 Landeshochschulgesetz Baden-Württemberg.

Complete university studies in the field of media informatics, digital media, computer science or a comparable discipline. Experience in the fields of software development, web technologies and AI is preferred in creative or media. Special ability to scientific work, which is usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctorate. Special services in the application or development of scientific knowledge and methods in a professional practice of at least five years after the university degree, with at least three years being carried out outside the university sector. Pedagogical aptitude which is usually demonstrated by experience in teaching or training or by participation in continuing and continuing training in university teaching. The primary language is German.
