Civil Engineer specializing in Civil Engineering and Road Construction (m/w/d)

As part of the Hamburg metropolitan region, the district of Segeberg is conveniently located in the middle of Schleswig-Holstein between the North and the Baltic Sea and is a reliable employer for around 1,100 employees. The specialist service of circular roads, cycle paths, bridges' with 7 employees is assigned to the department IV – Environment, Planning, Building. It builds and maintains around 425 km of circular roads, 130 km of cycle paths and 62 bridges with an investment volume of around €20 million in 2024. In the administrative community with the Road Transport Association (WZV), the specialist service is a competent partner in the exercise of the road service. The specialist service advises the circular policy on all issues of the circular transport infrastructure and brings its expertise for the traffic routes of the circle into the planning and approval procedures of third parties.

Planning and implementation of new/extrusion and entertainment activities of road and cycling routes Collection of offers for engineering services/prescriptions, award and contract accounting Establishment/examination of draft and tender documents and award of construction contracts Registration and settlement of applications Construction oversight of execution documents Implementation of local construction monitoring including follow-up management Other tasks: Management of the administrative community with the WZV Approval of heavy transport applications (VEMAGS) submitting opinions on issues and measures of traffic control (e.g. redirect lines) Processing of complaints, drafting requests and public transport planning Processing of applications after the RL municipal cycle path construction

a successfully completed (specialized) university degree as a civil engineerin the field of deep and road construction with the degree of dipl.-Ing. or Bachelor Eng. or equivalent skills and experience as other employeesr (e.g. state-tested techniciansin or masterin with relevant, long-term and equivalent experience in corresponding activities) expert knowledge of German (competence level at least C1 according to the common European reference framework for languages) Class B and 3 licences and the willingness to use your own car for reimbursement readiness for frequent activities in the field of external services and occasional participation in appointments outside office hours physical fitness for moving in unobstructed terrain and beyond ideal good knowledge of deep and road construction as well as the ability to plan and organize project processes Knowledge of relevant regulations such as VOB and HOAI Own initiative, resilience and motivation Responsibility and Conflictability
