The Bavarian Red Cross – Public Rights Body – is one of the largest welfare associations and the leading aid organisation in Bavaria.

The district office of the BRK in Ansbach is responsible for the town and district of Ansbach, which corresponds to approximately 2.071 km2.

Over 4.070 volunteer active members are organized in four Red Cross communities. In addition, around 420 employees are currently employed.
