Head of Accounting and Cost Controlling – Focus on Real Estate Management (m/f/d)

For our construction, real estate and house management department, we are looking for a Head of Accounting and Cost Controlling (m/w/d) – Focus on Real Estate Management 100% (39 hours per week), unlimited in Frankfurt am Main. In this responsible management position, you take over the management of the property accounting and cost controlling with a team of currently seven employees. Together with your team, you will ensure the economic management of central financial processes around our real estate portfolio and continuously develop controlling instruments, commercial standards and processes. You work closely with the department management, other subject areas and the financial department. With your business know-how, you can create resilient decision-making bases for construction projects and investments. To make a significant contribution to the sustainable development of our real estate for social, diaconic and ecclesiastical offers.

You guide your seven-member team professionally and disciplinaryly and promote their professional and personal development. You develop the team accounting and cost controlling strategically and organizationally. You optimize processes, standards and guidelines and ensure economic, efficient and proper financial accounting within the department. You shall independently draw up the budget for the budgetary authorities responsible and shall contribute to the establishment of the budget. You coordinate the investment planning and the annual accounts processes within the department and create transparency about economic development. You control funding and third-party funding, including mid-release and evidence of use. You continuously develop personnel cost control and internal reporting. You advise construction, renovation and investment measures in all commercial matters. You work with the financial department and other internal and external interfaces.

A successfully completed study of the business economy, real estate, economic law or a comparable subject. Alternatively, you have a comparable qualification with corresponding professional experience. Multiannual professional experience in accounting, controlling or commercial real estate management – ideally in a complex organization. Leadership experience as well as the ability to guide, develop and actively shape change processes. Funded knowledge of budgeting, budget management, cost control and business management instruments. Experience in the optimization of processes as well as in the control of cross-disciplinary projects. Designed analytical and conceptual skills and a structured and solution-oriented way of working. Communication strength, persuasiveness and joy in cross-departmental cooperation. A binding, cooperative and responsible personality with a high self-initiative and willingness to design.
