Safe food - Protection from contagious diseases - Healthy livestock The Landesprüfungsamt (LUA) is the central state service provider in the consumer and health protection of humans and animals in Rheinland-Pfalz. Together with our around 500 employees, we work at five locations in Koblenz, Landau, Mainz, Speyer and Trier on the nationwide monitoring and investigation of food, supplies, medicines and cosmetics, diagnostics and control of animal diseases and the protection of humans from contagious diseases. We are looking for the next time in the long term a veterinarian (m/w/d) in molecular biology and TSE diagnosis at the Institute of Animal Disease Diagnostics. The employment relationship is governed by the collective agreement for the public service of the countries (TV-L) up to the remuneration group 15 of the pay order for the TV-L or in the civil service relationship up to the salary group A 15 LBesG (depending on the personal conditions). Location is Koblenz (code: LUA – 2026/001-We).

Priority of activities: in particular molecular biological and serological diagnostics; this includes the professional supervision of the molecular biological and serological-immunological methods to be applied for the detection of animal diseases and the identification and preparation of expert opinions Administrative tasks such as notifications and queries of national and international databases (e.g. swine fever database, HIT, TSN) Sample input management with preparation of test plans Working within the framework of quality management

You fulfil the following requirements: Successful University Studies in Veterinary Medicine and Approbation as Veterinary / Veterinary (m/w/d) In addition, desirable and advantageous are: Insufficient knowledge and experience, in particular in the molecular biological and serological diagnosis of animal diseases and the relevant legislation A successfully completed, relevant specialist training A relevant subject-related doctorate Knowledge and experience in the use of databases as well as working in a quality management system and in dealing with a laboratory information and management system Willingness to work flexibly and to participate in weekend and holiday service Your personal strengths include: Team skills A high degree of resilience, decision-making and sense of responsibility
