Network Specialist (m/f/d)

As a Network Specialist (gn), you are responsible for the stable and secure operation of our cross-site network infrastructure and continuously develop it. You move between operational operation and the implementation of new solutions: analyse and eliminate disturbances, optically existing environments and accompany changes as well as rollouts. You work closely with internal departments as well as external partners, ensuring consistent standards and high availability and performance of our systems.

Your mission to us You secure a stable, secure and performant network operation across multiple locations You continuously plan, implement and develop our network architecture (LAN, WAN, WLAN) as well as secure access solutions for users, locations and cloud environments (e.g. Remote Access, SASE) You are responsible for the operation, optimization and lifecycle management of our network environment (switches, routers, firewalls) You analyze network disorders and sustainably correct them in 2nd and 3rd level support You monitor our networks proactively, optimize performance and plan ahead-looking capacities In defining and establishing network standards as well as security policies, You’re puggling and developing the technical documentation and working closely with internal teams and external partners Your experience & skills You have an education or study in the field of computer science, network technology, or a comparable qualification, and brings well-founded experience in the operation and development of network infrastructures (LAN, WAN, WLAN) with and knowledge of modern access concepts (e.g. SASE) You have very good knowledge of TCP/IP and well-founded experience in routing and switching (e.g. VLAN, STP) You have experience in running and configuring network and security solutions, ideally with Cisco (especially Meraki) and Check Point You have a sound understanding of network security concepts (e.g. access concepts, segmentation, policy design) You are experienced in the troubleshooting of complex network environments as well as in the handling of monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. Ideally you bring experience in the OT environment (Operational Technology) You work structured and analytical, are a team player and communicate safely in German and English
