Field Service Engineer Hardware (m/f/d)

CLADE offers a uniquely precise spectroscopy technology for a wide range of applications. This technology differs from conventional complex laboratory analysis by its speed, efficiency and reproducibility. Our product concept consists of a hardware component - our MIRA Analyzer, which performs chemical analyses in liquid environments within minutes by means of infrared spectroscopy. This allows us to create a digital fingerprint of a liquid in no time. With our customised applications - our software component Sphere - we can selectively filter the data obtained with the aid of pattern recognition and algorithms and prepare it for further processing.

As a field service engineer, you will ensure the maximum availability of our mid-IR systems with the customer. By installing, maintaining and repairing on site, you will ensure a stable operation and take over hardware related L2 escalations including standardized software runbooks. You'll be with us...

Installing, operating, removing Mid-IR systems at the customer's premises

perform maintenance, calibrations and repairs as well as apply structured troubleshooting (mechanical, electrical, sensory)

Manage spare parts, create service reports and document Root Cause Analyses (RCA) cleanly

Coordinate service deployments, communicate with customers and give feedback on recurring defects in product and engineering

Edit hardware-related L2 support tickets, including remote diagnostics in cooperation with software and deployment teams

standardized software installations and updates strictly to Runbook

Collect logs and perform basic Linux checks (services, storage, network basics)

perform standardized acceptance scripts (Bash/Python), interpret and document results

you have an education or study in mechatronics, electronics, measurement technology, analysis or a comparable area

you bring several years of experience in the field service of complex technical systems (e.g. analytics, measurement technology, MedTech, industry)

working methodically, structured and clean with the customer – also under time pressure

you are ready to travel about 50–70 %, and has a class B licence

you can speak German and apply English safely

you master Linux basics and implement software runbooks reliably and disciplined

Nice to have: Experience with spectroscopy, FTIR or process analysis

Basic knowledge of Python, Bash or SQL

Experience in handling customer IT (VPN, firewalls, on-prem servers)
