As **Software Test Manager (m/w/d)* in the field of Operations Defense & Intelligence (OPS DI), you are responsible for the planning, preparation, coordination and monitoring of all test activities in software development and IT projects – both in national and international heterogeneous system landscapes. The aim of the position is to ensure product and system quality and to minimise project risks through structured, transparent and standardized test processes. They act as a central contact for project management, client and internal stakeholders. Their tasks include:
Concept & Planning
- Development and implementation of a comprehensive test concept (cross-module, application or release)
- Creation and maintenance of test plans, test cases and test scenarios
- Analysis of technical requirements regarding testability and feasibility
- Creation of test observation estimates (cross-module and application)
- Presentation and justification of project managers, SDMs and customers
- Planning of test phases including boundary conditions, milestones, resources and dependencies
- Coordination of test activities with project plans of internal project managers and customer organisations
Coordination & implementation
- Responsibility for the preparation and implementation of test projects in heterogeneous, national and international environments
- Control and guidance of one or more test teams (manually and automated, possibly internationally distributed)
- Selection of suitable test methods, test tools and quality standards
- Organization and implementation of reviews, test acceptances and formal releases
- Escalation of problems or risks within the test project – Atos-intern and towards the customer
Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitoring and reporting of test progress, test results and risks
- Creation of test project status reports using project-specific templates
- Presentation of status reports in internal meetings and customer appointments
- Management of errors, deviations and risks (Defect management via ticketing systems)
- Preparation of test results and presentation of final test results to project managers and customers
- Determination, documentation and assessment of plan deviations and derivation of appropriate countermeasures
Quality & cooperation
- Ensuring compliance with test standards, quality objectives, process specifications and budget frameworks
- Close cooperation with development, business analysis, project management, quality assurance and external stakeholders
- Promoting a continuous improvement process in the test procedure
- Knowledge transfer internally and externally (e.g. workshops, working groups, customer training)

- Multiannual experience in test management of complex IT and software projects
- Knowledge of test strategies, test methods, test planning and QS methods

- Safe handling of test tools and ticketing systems (e.g. MS Azure DevOps)
- Experience in handling release-oriented test structures (agil and V-model XT)
- Very good knowledge of fault analysis and defect management
- Experience with agile methods (Scrum, Kanban) and classic approach models

- Experience in the test automation environment
