With direct reporting to the CTO, you take responsibility for our existing infrastructure and secure the stable and secure operation together with the IT team. You have already worked with complex IT infrastructures for several years – ideally in radiology, hospital IT or in a similarly demanding environment with multiple locations and business-critical systems. At the same time, you will form the next stage of development: We will gradually replace essential parts of our system landscape with our own solutions and a new technical infrastructure. You therefore know both worlds: the reliable operation of complex existing systems and the construction of a modern infrastructure that is scalable, manageable and robust in the long term. You understand the entire technical process beyond our system boundaries and can systematically limit errors and judge their cause. Your tasks - responsibility for our existing infrastructure: Until our new infrastructure is fully built, you are responsible for the reliable functioning and further development of our existing system landscape (dedicated rented Linux and Windows servers as well as your own server hardware, operated in a co-location data center). These include in particular: Configuration and support of firewalls, VPN System Security for Network and Systems Operation and Troubleshooting of our Teleradiological Infrastructure Support for DICOM and HL7-based interfaces Cooperation with our and external IT departments, manufacturers and service providers Construction of our future infrastructure: Together with our entire IT team, you will gradually replace existing components with your own solutions and build an infrastructure that meets our requirements. This includes in particular: Assessment of existing systems and new technologies, dependencies and risks Definition of robust and scalable infrastructure standards such as IaC, Observability, Reproducibility, High Availability, Multi-Master Replication, etc. Use of modern automation and AI tools to make operating processes more efficient, analyze errors faster and reduce recurring tasks. We are looking for an intern (m/w/d): multi-year, well-founded professional experience in the above-listed tasks - regardless of completion or training. Self-employed and structured use of modern tools such as LLMs and other AI-based tools Very good knowledge of German in word and writing.
